Marilyn A. Frinks, 67, of Delmar, N.Y.,died Saturday at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, N.Y.
She was the mother of Andrew M. Frinks of Pittsfield.
Born in Albany on Aug. 7, 1937, daughter of William and Jenny Samascott Swift, she was a graduate of Albany High School.
Mrs. Frinks worked for New York Telephone Co. in Albany, the Army East Coast Relay Station in Frederick, Md., and the New York State Public High School Athletic Association in Delmar, N.Y.
She enjoyed the beach, reading and bowling, as well as traveling.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Teresa's Church in Albany, and, most recently, of St. Thomas' Church in Delmar.
She was a member and secretary of the Hudson Valley Community College Women's Club, and a member of Fort Orange Chapter 1593 of the AARP.
Besides her son, she leaves her husband of 45 years, Ronald Michael Frinks; two daughters, Sharon Elizabeth Chiarella of Redwood City, Calif., and Donna Ann Frinks of Selkirk, N.Y.; a brother, William Raymond Swift of Glenmont, N.Y., and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Marilyn A. Frinks will be today at 8:30 at HANS FUNERAL HOME, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, and at 9:30 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice, 455 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, friend and grandmother, and will be dearly missed. She leaves her grandchildren, Sydney Teresa and Collin Andrew Frinks, and Isabel Liv and Jenna Marie Chiarella.
She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Swift, and by a niece, Linda Swift.
