Diane L. Martin, 65, of Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, formerly of 93 Cummings Ave., died Wednesday evening at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was the former co-owner of the former Heritage Tavern in Lenox from 1987 to 1993.
Born in Great Barrington on May 12, 1939, daughter of Francis L. Beaver and Ann H. Wojick Beaver Anthony, she was a 1956 graduate of St. Joseph's High School. She received her certificate as an operating room technician from the former Hillcrest Hospital.
She also attended Berkshire Community College in 1981 and took business courses.
Mrs. Martin had also worked as a bartender at the former Latshaws Restaurant.
A communicant of Sacred Heart Church, she was a member of its Rosary Sodality. She sang with the minstrels at the Boys' Club, was involved in the annual March of Dimes Telethon and was a former secretary for the Bobby Kidney Sunshine Fund.
She enjoyed animals, especially cats; arts and crafts, including making and selling Christmas ornaments; reading, knitting, needlework and music.
She leaves a son, Andrew M. Martin, esq., of Troy, N.Y., and a brother, W. Andrew Anthony of Green Valley, Ariz.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Diane L. Beaver Martin, age 65, died Aug. 11, 2004. The funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 14, at 8:15 from the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor.
Entombment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Friday, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's High School or the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
