Casimer M. Kupiec

Casimer M. Kupiec, 82, of 35 Pontoosuc Ave. died yesterday morning at Hillcrest Commons, where he had resided for a short time.

Born in Adams on March 4, 1922, the son of Walter and Sophie Novak Kupiec, he attended schools there.

A World War II Navy veteran, he served in England from 1943 to 1945 as a seaman.

Mr. Kupiec was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 28 years as a mail carrier at the Adams post office, retiring in 1979. Previously, he worked at GE.

He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and enjoyed dancing the polka, baking bread, making homemade pierogies and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

He and his wife, the former Josephine Florczyk, were married July 22, 1950, in Holy Family Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Mark Kupiec of Methuen and Christopher Kupiec of North Andover, and three grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Casimer M. Kupiec, 82, died Aug. 7, 2004. The funeral will be Tuesday at 8:15 from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME , followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at Holy Family Church celebrated by the Rev. Max Kische.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Lee Visiting Nurse Association in care of the funeral home.

He is lovingly survived by his grandchildren, Keith, Steven and Travis Kupiec. He was predeceased by his brothers, John and Edward Kupiec, and by his sisters, Emily Kupiec and Ceil Zajac.
