Edith A. Hart, 72, of 43 Baystate Road died Sunday at home.
Born in Great Barrington on July 30, 1931, daughter of Chester and Marian Reed Pixley, she was educated in Housatonic and Great Barrington schools.
She moved to Pittsfield in 1970.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Hart was a self-employed housekeeper.
She was a member of Church of Christ of Pittsfield.
She enjoyed crafts, gardening, cooking and sewing.
She leaves three sons, Glenn H. Hart, Robert J. Hart and Charles E. Hart, all of Cheshire; two daughters, Kathleen M. Hart of Cheshire and April L. Rodman of Pittsfield; a sister, Marjorie Dus of Richmond, four grandchildren and a great-grandson. Another son, Kenneth Hart, died June 6, 2002.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Edith A. Hart, age 72, died June 25, 2004. Private graveside services will be held at Rockdale Cemetery in West Stockbridge.
In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME.
She is lovingly survived by her grandchildren Ashley and Joshua Rodman. She was predeceased by three brothers and six sisters.
