Eleanor F. Beattie, 72, of 133 Lincoln St. died yesterday morning at home.
Born in Pittsfield on March 4, 1932, daughter of Dominique and Julia Yetz Mazza, she attended Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Beattie was employed as a clerk at Stop & Shop for 25 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Her husband, Arthur D. Beattie Sr., whom she married Oct. 13, 1952, died Aug. 17, 1995.
She leaves a daughter, Nancy A. Beattie of Marlboro; a son, A. Daniel Beattie Jr. of Pittsfield; three sisters, Ann Pannesco of Pittsfield, Beverly Pizzuto of Hancock and Rose Franscella of New Hampshire; three brothers, Eugene Mazza of New Jersey, and Dominick Mazza Jr. and Carl Mazza, both of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Eleanor F. Beattie of 133 Lincoln St., who died Sunday, July 25, 2004, will be Tuesday, July 27, from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Mary's Church celebrated by the Rev. Paul Bombardier, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The calling hour will be Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, 01201.
