Judith S. Patti

Judith S. Patti, 60, of 99 Whitter Ave., died yesterday at the home of her mother after a long illness.

Born Oct. 18, 1943, daughter of the late Judge Paul A. Tamburello and Elena Rocca Tamburello, she was a 1961 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was also a graduate of Vermont College for Women in 1963 and a 1964 graduate of Katharine Gibbs Business School in New York City.

Mrs. Patti was employed as a legal assistant for the law office of her father and later as an administrative assistant for the law office of Gobel & Hollister for the past 24 years.

She was also a justice of the peace for 20 years.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and member of the parish council and rosary sodality.

She was active in the American Cancer Society as a member of the board of directors, co-chair of the Jail and Bail event in the 1980s and 1990s, co-chair of the Daffodil Day event for the past 18 years, and host of a wrap-up reception at her home for the committee members.

She also participated in the Relay for Life event.

She enjoyed many trips to Europe with family and friends and recently took Italian language classes to prepare for her most recent trip to Italy.

Besides her mother, she leaves two sons, Christopher Patti of Pittsfield and Geoffrey Patti of Hancock; former husband, Ronald Patti of Cheshire; a brother Paul A. Tamburello Jr. of Watertown and one granddaughter.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Judith S. Patti died in Pittsfield on Thursday, July 22, 2004. Beloved mother-in-law to Darcy Patti and grandmother to Taylor Patti. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her son Geoffrey's and his fiancé Karen Hoag's first child.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 26 at 9 from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church at 10. Burial will follow at Pittsfield Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday, July 25 from 2 to 5. If friends desire, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, care of the funeral home, in her memory. As a Justice of the Peace, she was known for her unique and individualistic wedding ceremonies.
