Edward G. Hall, 91, of 7 Ruby Terrace died yesterday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield, where he had resided since April.
Born in Schenectady, N.Y., on Sept. 11, 1912, son of Hamilton and Florence Berne Hall, he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mr. Hall was employed for many years by the city of Pittsfield, working at the city yard. He retired in 1978 as road supervisor.
He then owned and operated Bridge Lunch for two years, was the manager of Ann's Mahogany Room for a year and then caterer at the Dalton VFW for six years.
He was a member of St. Agnes' Church, the Elks Club in Pittsfield and the Berkshire County Deputy Sheriffs' Association.
He and his wife, the former Melda M. Bancoft, celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary June 22.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Michael Hall of Hartsville, Maine; a stepson, Dana Fresia of Pittsfield, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Edward G. Hall, who died July 4, 2004, will be conducted Wednesday at 11 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, Dalton, by Deacon Pasqual Baldasaro of St. Agnes' Church.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 10 to 11. In lieu of flowers, donation are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
