Constance T. "Connie" Altobelli

Constance T. "Connie" Altobelli, 73, of 79 Velma Ave. died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center following a short illness.
Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 27, 1930, daughter of John and Maude Beck Murdock, she was a 1948 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She also attended the former Berkshire Business College.
She was last employed as a bookkeeper for Farrell's Home Decorating for 10 years, retiring several years ago. She first worked as a stenographer at GE for five years and later worked for the former Adams Supermarket as a bookkeeper for 17 years.
Mrs. Altobelli was a communicant of St. Teresa's Church.
She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Tuesday Women's Bowling League.
She also enjoyed gardening and ceramics.
She and her husband, Egidio Altobelli, were married Aug. 18, 1950, in St. Mark's Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Dr. David E. Altobelli of Hollis, N.H., and Thomas E. Altobelli of Redondo Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Terry M. Blade of North Reading; a brother, Richard Murdock of Richmond; three sisters, Kathleen Thompson of California, Joanne Puia of Pittsfield and Sharon Corrigan of Worcester, and five grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Constance T. "Connie" Altobelli, who died June 30, 2004, will be Saturday at 1 at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Daniel B. Brunton officiating.
The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home. Mrs. Altobelli is lovingly survived by her five adored grandchildren, David Altobelli, Lori Altobelli, Chris Blade, Kevin Blade and Jessica Altobelli.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and John Murdock, and by two sisters, Gloria Fisher and Doris Olsen.
