Louis Menin, 89, of 26 Allessio St. died yesterday at Springside of Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 14, 1914, son of Angelo and Rose Tezza Menin, he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mr. Menin was employed by E.D. Jones in Pittsfield and, later, by its successor, Jones-Beloit in Dalton, for 43 years, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Menin was a communicant of All Souls' Church.
He enjoyed fishing and going to OTB in New Lebanon, N.Y.
His wife, the former Virginia Serra, whom he married Aug. 31, 1940, in Mount Carmel Church, died April 17, 2003.
He leaves a sister, Ada Puntin of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Louis Menin will be Thursday, July 1, 2004, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 at All Souls' Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Souls' Church in care of the funeral home.
Mr. Menin was predeceased by two brothers, Mario G. Menin and Anthony J. Menin.
