Agnes W. Demary, 93, of 28 Fairway Ave. died Friday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 3, 1910, daughter of William and Nellie Thayer Watson, she was educated in local schools.
Mrs. Demary was employed by the Gus Schnopp family in Dalton for many years. Prior to that, she worked for Crane & Co. in Dalton, then at GE in Pittsfield for a short time.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, and she enjoyed fishing and collecting ferns and evergreens to make holiday wreaths.
Until recently, she had baked bread daily for her family and friends.
Her husband, Walter Demary, whom she married Feb. 28, 1927, died in 1978.
She leaves 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, Walter, Edward, Richard, Robert and George Demary.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Agnes W. Demary, age 93, who died June 25, 2004, will be Monday at 9 at St. Joseph's Church, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 8 until the time of the service at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart Fund in care of the funeral home.
The family extends an invitation to family and friends to 28 Fairway Ave. following the services.
