Muriel Rose Johnson, 85, of Spruce Meadow Court, Wilton, Conn., a former resident of Pittsfield, died Sunday at home.
Born in Canaan, N.Y., on Oct. 21, 1918, daughter of Frank and Rose Asher Hatch, she was educated there.
She had resided in Pittsfield for many years before moving to Wilton 10 years ago.
While in Wilton, she was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
She leaves three daughters, Britta Nayden of Wilton, Joy Kiah of Windsor, Conn., and Andrea Johnson of Red Hook, N.Y.; three brothers, Frank Hatch of Port Orange, Fla., James Hatch of Port Salerno, Fla., and Ward Hatch of Lebanon, N.Y., and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Archibald of Lenox.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Muriel Hatch Johnson will be Thursday, June 24, at 11 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 36 New Canaan Road, Wilton, Conn., with the Rev. Mary Grace Williams, rector, officiating. Interment will be private.
Friends may call at BOUTON FUNERAL HOME, 31 West Church St., Georgetown, Conn., on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, 1232 22nd St., NW, Washington, DC 20037.
