Roger G. Halsey, 71, of 95 Davis St. died yesterday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 4, 1932, son of Arthur and Nydia Curnow Halsey, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1950.
Mr. Halsey was employed for 30 years by the former Eaton Paper Co., retiring as a supervisor in 1991. After he retired, he worked at the Lenox Dale post office as a postal clerk until 1997.
His wife, the former Mary T. Daignault Zarn, whom he married May 11, 1979, died May 27, 1998.
He leaves a stepson, Philip E. Zarn Jr. of Richmond; a sister, Grace Marr of Lady Lake, N.J., and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Roger G. Halsey, who died June 18, 2004, will be conducted Monday, June 21, at 2 at DWYER FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Jeffrey Black.
Calling hours will be Monday from noon until time for the service at the funeral home. If friends desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
He also leaves his beloved daughter-in-law, Deborah Zarn.
