Kathleen J. Sullivan, 85, of 2001 Falls Blvd, Apt. 133, Quincy, died Sunday at New England Medical Center in Boston after a short illness.
She had resided in Pittsfield from 1957 to 1969.
Born in Boston on Nov. 29, 1918, daughter of Frederick and Agnes Clinton Dunkerley, she was a graduate of schools there and of the former Boston Clerical College.
Primarily a homemaker, she had been secretary to Edwin Land, founder of the Polaroid Land Camera.
While in Pittsfield, she was a communicant and active member of St. Mary's Church.
In Quincy, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister. She was a member of the Quincy Senior Citizens and won three medals competing in the Quincy Senior Olympics.
She enjoyed bowling and was involved in many charities.
Her husband, David F. Sullivan, whom she married June 24, 1944, died in 1987.
She leaves four daughters, Kathleen Sullivan of Milwaukee, Karen Evans of Quincy, Frances Sullivan of Cohasset and Brenda Perroni of Salem; two sons, Robert Sullivan of Seattle and Peter Sullivan of East Taunton; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral for Kathleen J. Sullivan from KEOHANE FUNERAL HOME, 785 Hancock St., Wollaston, on Thursday at 10, followed by Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Joseph's Church, Quincy.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Memorial donations may be made to Father Bill's Place, 38 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169. See Keohane.com for directions.
