Doris C. Potak

Doris C. Potak, 79, of 78 Harryel St. died Monday at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox, where she had resided since March.

Born in Rome, Ga., on March 22, 1925, daughter of Arthur C. and Sue A. Tucker Davis, she was a graduate of Rome High School.

During World War II, she worked for the USO.

Mrs. Potak was a member of First Baptist Church and of its Anna Fleet Chapter.

She liked animals.

She and her husband, Rudolph W. Potak, were married Sept. 1, 1945.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Darlene Cohen of Florence; two sons, Russell Potak of Cheshire and Kenneth Potak of Kingsbury, N.Y., six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Doris Potak, who died May 31, 2004, will be conducted tomorrow, June 3, at 11 in Pittsfield Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Robert Rennie, pastor of First Baptist Church.

Those attending the service are asked to meet inside the cemetery gate at 10:45. Calling hours will be today, June 2, from 4 to 6 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to First Baptist Church or to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. She was a devoted wife and mother.
