Kathleen E. Daoust, 61, of 76 Winnicut Road, North Hampton, N.H., died yesterday at her home after a lengthy illness.
She is the daughter of Evelyn D. Maces of Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 17, 1942, daughter of Evelyn Dean Maces and the late Henry Maces, she graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1959.
She had resided in North Hampton since 1981.
A homemaker, she was active in her children's scouting organizations, serving as a Cub Scout den mother, Webelos leader and BSA Troop 66 committee member.
She was also a councilor at the Marion White Girl Scout Camp and was a Brownie leader.
While in Pittsfield, she was a member of St. Charles' Church, where she and her family were active in the church's folk choir. After moving to New Hampshire, she attended the First Baptist Church in Hampton and was a longtime member of the Friends of the North Hampton Library.
Besides her mother of Pittsfield, she leaves her husband, Paul Daoust of North Hampton, whom she married July 22, 1959; a son, Daniel P. Daoust of Brookline, N.H.; two daughters, Cheri D. Ferber of North Hampton and Annette M. Bisson of Surry, N.H.; a brother, Henry Maces Jr. of Pittsfield; a sister, Carol Francesconi of Pittsfield, and eight grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Relatives and friends may call at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., on Monday from 4 to 7, or the REMICK & GENDRON FUNERAL HOME-CREMATORY, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, N.H., on Tuesday from 4 to 7.
