Rose Mary Tristany Condron, 94, of 169 Valentine Road died Monday evening at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Pennsylvania on April 28, 1910, daughter of Dominic and Katherine Melfi Gigliotti, she came to Pittsfield as a child with her family and attended local schools.
She owned and operated the former Rose Condron's Salon for more than 40 years and retired in 1968.
She was also a cake decorator for local bakeries.
Mrs. Condron was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church, where she was active in its yearly bazaar, working in the kitchen.
Her husband, Raymond E. Condron, whom she married in 1948, died in May 1971.
She leaves two sons, Dennis E. Condron of Cheshire and John F. Tristany of Stephentown, N.Y.; a stepson, James Condron of San Diego; 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Wood, and two stepsons, William Condron and Thomas Condron.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Rose Mary (Gigliotti) Tristany Condron, age 95, died May 3, 2004. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Geoffrey Deeker, C.S.S., pastor of Mount Carmel Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9 until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mount Carmel Church in care of the funeral home.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Joseph and Anthony Gigliotti, and her sisters, Mary Fera, Theresa Disco and Carmen LeSage.
