Edwina McNeil Scribner, 74, of 40 Edward Ave. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn., on Feb. 23, 1930, daughter of Edward A. Dush Sr. and Gladys Controy Dush, she attended Pittsfield schools.
As a teenager she was employed at the former England Brothers department store, but for most of her life she was a homemaker.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and shopping.
She and her husband, Leon H. Scribner Jr., were married July 3, 1953.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Gary B. Scribner of Pittsfield and Randy W. Scribner of Charlotte, N.C.; four daughters, Karen A. Sinopoli, Linda L. Silvestro and Sandra E. Scribner, all of Pittsfield, and Debra M. Gero of Lanesboro; a brother, Edward A. Dush Jr. of Hinsdale; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A son, Leon E. Scribner, died in 1982.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Edwina Dush McNeil Scribner, who died April 30, 2004, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor of Sacred Heart Church. Cremation will follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowrs, donations are suggested to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
