Michael K. Nolan, 46, of Dalton Avenue, Pittsfield, formerly of Cone Hill Road, died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 2, 1957, son of Maxine Magill Nolan Gillette of Great Barrington and the late William F. Nolan Sr., he attended schools in Pittsfield and Richmond.
He had resided in Richmond for many years until recently moving to Pittsfield.
Mr. Nolan was employed in the auto body and construction fields, until stopping because of poor health.
He enjoyed deer hunting, country music and car racing.
Besides his mother, he leaves two brothers, William F. Nolan Jr. and George A. Gillette, both of Great Barrington and five sisters, Deborah Nicholas of Pownal, Vt., Shelley Makarski of Clayton, Cheryl Ciolina of West Stockbridge and Kelley Nolan of Estero, Fla.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Michael K. Nolan, 46, formerly of Cone Hill Road, Richmond, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Berkshire Medical Center. The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 1 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Daniel Papineau, pastor of St. Peter's Church.
Burial will follow in Richmond Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Those who desire may make memorial contributions to HospiceCare in the Berkshires through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
