Carmen P. Mole

Carmen P. Mole, 84, of 2522 North Orangewood St., Avon Park, Fla., died Tuesday at Florida Hospital Heartland in Sebring.

He was a former resident of Pittsfield and Schenectady, N.Y. He moved to Florida from Schenectady in 1991.

Born in Pittsfield on April 18, 1920, son of Giovanni and Lucretia Salatino Mole, he attended local schools.

An Army veteran of World War II, he received several citations.

He was employed by GE for 34 years, retiring in 1979.

While in Pittsfield, he was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church.

He was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners clubs, and enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.

He and his wife, the former Bessie B. Brooks, were married June 29, 1957.

Besides his wife, he leaves a brother, Michael J. Mole of Sebring and a sister, Consetta A. Brophy of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Carmen P. Mole will take place Saturday, April 24, 2004, at 8 from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., pastor.

Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, April 23, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. He is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers, John Mole Jr., Joseph P. Mole and Charles R. Mole, and two sisters, Elizabeth Santangelo and Mary G. Marby.
