Rosemary DiFilippo, 77, of 176 Columbus Ave., Berkshire Town Apartments, died Saturday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 27, 1926, daughter of Pasquale Scavo and Mary C. Metallo Scavo Cimini, she was a 1945 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. DiFilippo had been employed by GE in the former power transformer department, retiring in 1985 after 27 years.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church.
She was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs, the Ralph J. Froio Senior Center and Itam Lodge 564.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, going to casinos, cooking, sewing, crafts and traveling.
Her husband, Santo J. DiFilippo, whom she married July 15, 1950, in Mount Carmel Church, died Jan. 9, 2000.
She leaves a son, Joseph P. DiFilippo of Pittsfield; three daughters, Donna A. Maness of Indian Orchard, Linda R. Mochon of Sarasota, Fla., and Antoinette R. DiFilippo of Lanesboro; a sister, Pauline Cimini of Pittsfield, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rosemary DiFilippo, who died April 17, 2004, will be celebrated Thursday, April 22, at 10 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. She also leaves an aunt, Gloria Langlois of Pittsfield, and an uncle, Victor Metallo of Sewell, N.J.
She was predeceased by a brother, Louis J. Cimini. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, which is in charge of arrangements.
