Roberta Sisson

Roberta Sisson, 86, of 6 Dodge Ave. died Thursday at Laurel Lake Center for Health and Rehabilitation, where she had been a resident since January.
Born in Pittsfield on May 10, 1917, daughter of William R. and Marguerite G. Hemenway Bufe, she was a 1935 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Sisson had been employed as a bookkeeper with the American Red Cross and as a secretary at the formerElmvale Worsted Co.
Mrs. Sisson was also a member of the National Society of Colonial Dames, was involved with the Town Players of Pittsfield and was a den mother in the Cub Scouts.
Her husband, Walter W. Sisson, whom she married April 27, 1946, died Sept. 28, 1993.
She leaves two sons, Walter W. Sisson Jr. of Framingham and Christopher A. Sisson of Pittsfield, and a brother, Carleton Edwards of South Glens Falls, N.Y.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Roberta Sisson, who died April 15, 2004, will be Tuesday at 11 at the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Joel Huntington officiating.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Following cremation, burial will be in the Pittsfield Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Red Cross in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
