Francis E. Winters, 50, of 87 Greenwich St. died Friday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on April 21, 1953, son of Alice M. Sible Winters and the late Joseph P. Winters, he was a 1972 graduate of Taconic High School.
He was employed by Skyline Country Club as a groundskeeper.
Mr. Winters was a longtime member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hiking and watching wildlife.
Besides his mother, he leaves three brothers, Paul J. Winters and Richard W. Winters, both of Pittsfield, and Raymond J. Winters of Hinsdale, and a sister, Nancy A. Whisler of Warrington, Pa.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A celebration of the life of Francis E. Winters, who died April 16, 2004, will be tomorrow, April 20, from 1 to 5 at his family's home on 87 Greenwich St.
Friends are invited to the home, where memories of Fran's life may be shared and his love of nature can be appreciated. If friends desire, memorial donations in his name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME.
Fran is also survived by his loving nephews, Charles Beau Winters and Christopher Whisler, and nieces, Paula K. Winters, Ashley N. Whisler, Carrie Ann Winters and Codey L. Broadhurst, and by many cousins. His father died July 25, 1994.
