PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Julie Rae Macchi, 51, of 44 Maplewood Ave. died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on June 14, 1952, daughter of John J. Macchi Jr. of Pittsfield and the late Jeannine Gratton Macchi
, she attended local schools.
For the past six months, Ms. Macchi had been employed by Zip & Sort Mail Service in Pittsfield. Prior to that, she worked as an assembler at Blue Q for many years.
Ms. Macchi was a communicant of Notre Dame Church. She had participated in Special Olympics and collected hats and dolls. She enjoyed stuffed animals, traveling, skiing and bowling.
Besides her father, she leaves a brother, John J. Macchi III of Northampton; three sisters, Kathleen Ricciarini and Bonnie L. Kelly, both of Pittsfield, and Debra Weathers of Tampa, Fla., her longtime companion, Francis Cahalan of Pittsfield, and by several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Ms. Macchi will be celebrated Saturday, April 17, at 9 at Notre Dame Church by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berkshire County ARC in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, which is handling arrangements.
