Hope Cimini

April 11, 2004

Hope Cimini, 72, of 58 Easton Ave. died yesterday at home after a long illness.

Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 26, 1932, daughter of Walter L. and Mary A. Hall Murray, she graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1949 and later attended the former Pittsfield Secretarial School.

Mrs. Cimini was employed for 13 years by Dr. Richard Greene, until leaving recently because of poor health.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, and a member of its Rosary Sodality.

She enjoyed traveling, reading and playing the piano.

Her husband, Dominic A. Cimini, whom she married Sept. 11, 1954, died July 5, 1983.

She leaves a son, Matthew J. Cimini of Pittsfield; six daughters, Hope C. Cimini, Jill Cimini, Susan Sacchetti, Nan Menin and Beth Cimini, all of Pittsfield, and Lee Ann Steele of Cheshire; four brothers, John W. Murray of Lee, Paul J. Murray of Huntington, Conn., Kevin B. Murray of New Baltimore, N.Y., and W. Keith Murray of Pittsfield; three sisters, Margaret Knight and Barbara Stack, both of Pittsfield, and Constance Brandon of Laurel, Md., and eight grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Hope Murray Cimini, who died April 11, 2004, will be Wednesday, April 14, at 8:15 from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. James A. Joyce officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7. Survivors include Mrs. Cimini's grandchildren Mia, Dominic A. and Halley Cimini, Gregory, Matthew and Paige Sacchetti, and Kevin and Luke Menin; her sons-in-law Edward Steele, Greg Sacchetti and Larry Menin, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Priscilla M. Pipp, on Nov. 2, 1999.

In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to Sacred Heart Church or HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
