Kevin Matthew Quinn, 74, of 71 Lexington Parkway died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack earlier at his home.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 26, 1929, son of Dr. John R. and Sara Collins Quinn, he was a 1948 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
He had served in the Army.
He had been employed as an assembler at Pratt & Whitneyin Connecticut for more than 20 years, retiring in 1970.
He had also worked as a guard at the Berkshire Museum and was a groundskeeper at the Open Heart Club in Great Barrington for 10 years.
Mr. Quinn was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
He was a member of the Berkshire Museum, a contributor to many missions, an avid sports fan, a movie buff and an artist.
He leaves several nieces and nephews. A brother, John J. Quinn, died 15 hours earlier, on Tuesday.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Kevin M. Quinn, who died March 31, 2004, will be Monday with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Paul Bombardier, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 7 at the DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph's High School Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
Kevin M. Quinn is survived by his sister-in-law, Lillian Quinn of Pittsfield; his two nephews, John "Jack" Quinn Jr. and Michael Quinn; four nieces, Kathleen Quinn, Colleen Quinn, Tammy Lahart and Sheila Niedeck.
He was predeceased by brothers John J. Quinn, on Tuesday, March 30, and Joseph Quinn, and a sister, Miss Mary Quinn.
