Colleen Marie Bonnivier, 55, of 179 Hancock Road died Friday morning at Berkshire Medical Center after a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She was a former resident of Dalton.
Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 6, 1948, daughter of Francis P. and Mary Jorgensen Gray, she was a 1967 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Bonnivier was the housekeeping manager at Bentley Brook in Hancock.
Before that, she had worked at Jiminy Peak and at Hill Engineering in Dalton.
She enjoyed photography, sketching and spending time at Pontoosuc Lake.
She leaves a son, Chris Bonnivier of Dalton; a daughter, Carrie Bonnivier of North Adams; three brothers, John "Jack" Gray of Eliot, Maine, James Gray of Pittsfield and William Gray of West Stockbridge; two sisters, Nancy Hamilton of Bridgeport, W.Va., and Kathleen Moore of State College, Pa., and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Colleen Marie (Gray) Bonnivier, 55, died March 12, 2004, after a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was a beloved mother and friend who touched many people's lives in many ways.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 17, from 4 to 7 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be private and at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Brittanie Anne ("Sweetpea"), 8, and Alexander Jorgensen ("Bugaloo"), 2, both of Dalton; her son-in-law, Daniel Borer of North Adams; her daughter-in-law, Kerrianne Bonnivier; her former mother-in-law and dear friend, Rheta Bonnivier of Pittsfield; her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201, for a future memorial.
