PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Ann R. Carr, 68, of 511 Buttonwood Lane, Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of 81 Somerset Ave., Pittsfield, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at home.
Born Oct. 11, 1935, in Ashburnham, daughter of Clovis A. and Mary E. Garvey Giard, she graduated from Pittsfield High School and the former Pittsfield General Hospital Nursing School.
Mrs. Carr was a registered nurse at Berkshire Medical Center for 20 years before moving to Florida in the early to mid-1980s.
She worked at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach for 15 years, retiring several years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach, Fla.
She leaves two sons, Thomas S. Carr of East Brookfield, Paul D. Carr of Pittsfield; a daughter, Jennifer L. Soldato of Pittsfield; two sisters, Geraldine L. Scarafoni and Marylou Dupont, both of Williamstown, and five grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Carr will be held Saturday, March 20, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Pittsfield, with the Rev. Earl Hebert officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 39 Wahconah St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
