Martha B. Boos, 92, formerly of 59 Salisbury Court and Berkshire Place, died Feb. 20 at Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, N.J.
Born in Pittsfield on June 10, 1911, daughter of Paul and Martha Hartman Burkhardt, she was a 1927 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Boos was employed as a salesclerk at the former Berkshire Coat Factory from 1965 to 1975.
She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church and sang in its choir.
She also taught Sunday school for many years, and was involved with its women's group.
Her husband, G. Robert Boos, whom she married Nov. 6, 1943, died July 1, 1981.
She leaves a son, R. Nicholas Bose of Davenport, Iowa; a daughter, Paula Boos Holt of Montville, N.J., and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The memorial service for Martha B. Boos, who died Feb. 20, 2004, will be conducted Sunday, March 7, at 1 at Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Peter D. Boehringer, pastor.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Christian Health Care Center Employee Fund, 301 Sicomac Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
Among survivors are her grandchildren, Matthew R. Holt and Michelle Cardin Holt, a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, is in charge of arrangements.
