PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Rita G. Rosso, 76, of 5 Boison St. died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at Berkshire Medical Center under the care of HospiceCare in the Berkshires.
Born in West Stockbridge on March 17, 1927, daughter of Stefano and Rose Capelli, she attended local schools and graduated in 1945 from the former Williams High School.
Mrs. Rosso was employed by the former Greylock Plastics for 13 years, retiring in 1982.
She was a communicant of All Souls' Church.
Her husband, John J. Rosso, whom she married Sept. 6, 1948, died Oct. 19, 1995.
She leaves her son, Mark Rosso and his wife, Rosemary, of Aledo, Texas; a daughter, Marlene Clemons, with whom she made her home; a brother, John Capelliof West Stockbridge; a sister, Mary Troy of Springfield, and her granddaughter, Kelsey.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Rosso will be Monday with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at All Souls' Church, celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in West Stockbridge. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
Mrs. Rosso's family would like to acknowledge the outstanding care that HospiceCare in the Berkshires provided at Berkshire Medical Center.
