Dianne L. Ameen

Dianne L. Ameen, 57, of 37 Garden St. died Friday morning at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 12, 1946, daughter of George and Dollie M. Burdick Viner, she was a 1964 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1967 graduate of the former Bishop Memorial School of Nursing.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Ameen was employed by General Dynamics for a short time, retiring in 1999 because of poor health.
She also had worked at Norwood, Cambridge and Bay State hospitals and at the Crane Center at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She and her husband, Carl Ameen, were married Aug. 24, 1970.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Michelle DaSilva of East Walpole; three sons, William Ameen of Brockton, Jeremy Ameen of Hanover and Carl L. Ameen Jr. of Pittsfield; two sisters, Lois Card of Pittsfield and Gloria Corbett of Bradenton, Fla.; a brother, George Viner of Bradenton, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Dianne L. Viner, who died Feb. 27, 2004, will be conducted Tuesday, March 2, at 2 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Dr. Peter D. Boehringer.
There will be no calling hours. Among survivors are three grandchildren, Jordan DaSilva, Stephanie Ameen and Gabriel Ameen. She was a loving aunt to many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
