Camellia S. Doran, 83, of 30 Maple Grove Drive died Saturday evening at home.
Born in Turners Falls on June 28, 1920, daughter of Michael and Stella Aptacy Saharceski, she moved to Pittsfield at age 5 and graduated from Pittsfield High School in January 1939, with the last January graduating class.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Doran had worked at various part-time jobs.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, where she taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine classes.
Her husband of 55 years, William R. Doran, died Oct. 26, 1996.
She leaves a daughter, Donna Reardon, with whom she made her home; two sisters, Michaelina Handerek of Pittsfield and Dorothy Milkey of Turners Falls; a brother, Michael Saharceski of Turners Falls, and a grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Camellia S. Doran, 83, who died Feb. 28, 2004, will be Tuesday at 10:15 from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 until the funeral at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
She is lovingly survived by her grandson, Patrick Reardon of Pittsfield.
