Doris F. Curtain, 86, of Leominster, formerly of Pittsfield, died Saturday at Keystone Nursing Home in Leominster.
Born May 19, 1917, in Pittsfield, daughter of Charles and Mary Logan Young, she was a 1935 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Curtain was a cafeteria worker for the Leominster school system, working at Fallbrook and Johnny Appleseed schools.
She was a former Girl Scout leader in Leominster. In Pittsfield, she was a payroll clerk at GE.
Mrs. Curtain was a member of St. Leo's Church in Leominster, the choir and the BVM Sodality of St. Leo's Church and the Leominster Senior Center.
Her husband, Gerald T. Curtain, died in 1993.
She leaves three daughters, Judith E. Suchy of New Fairfield, Conn., Mary Curtain-Clinker of Cranston, R.I., and Elizabeth L. Curtain of Peabody, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Church, 40 Academy St., Lee, with a Memorial Mass at 10 on Saturday, Feb. 21. Burial of ashes will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lee.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Leo's Church, 108 Main St., Leominster, MA 01453.
CURLEY-MASCIARELLI FUNERAL HOME (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net), 89 West St., Leominster, MA 01453, is handling arrangements. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
