Marilyn Farnsworth, 84, of 8615 Bayshore Road, Palmetto, Fla., a native of Pittsfield, died Friday at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Fla.
She and her husband, the late Theodore Farnsworth, developed Farnsworth Terrace, where they lived until moving to Palmetto in 1978.
Born on Sept. 13, 1919, the daughter of Earl Case and Mary Barrett Case Poopor, she attended schools in Nova Scotia.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Farnsworth was a communicant of St. Francis' Church in Pittsfield and of Holy Cross Church in Palmetto.
She was a longtime member of the Women of the Moose, Bradenton Chapter 1072.
Her husband, whom she married June 22, 1940, died Oct. 20, 1995.
She leaves two daughters, Mary Lou Weston of Boca Raton, Fla., and Faye Farnsworth of Miami; two sons, Wayne Farnsworth of Pittsfield and Kenneth Farnsworth of Spencer, Iowa; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Memorial Mass for Marilyn Farnsworth will be held in Pittsfield in June at a time to be announced. It will be followed by a graveside service at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Association of Marian Helpers, Marians of the Immaculate Conception, Stockbridge, MA 01263, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
She leaves six grandchildren, David Weston of Jacksonville, Fla., Mark Farnsworth of Vallejo, Calif., Lisa Sacchetti Thompson of Oviedo, Fla., Paul Farnsworth of Pittsfield, and Megan and Ryan Farnsworth of Hinsdale; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Thompson and Rachael Weston.
