Madelyn F. Pulver Wessman, 90, of Keene, N.Y., formerly of Pittsfield, died Wednesday at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, N.Y.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 28, 1914, daughter of Henry C. and Alice O'Keefe Roberts, she lived in Pittsfield with her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John O'Keefe until her marriage to Henry Pulver.
She later lived in Columbia County, N.Y., Pittsfield and Lanesboro and worked in the former Pittsfield General Hospital as an EKG technician.
She was a communicant of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Lanesboro.
Following the death of her first husband, she married Harold R. Wessman.
She and her husband moved in 1991 to the Adirondacks where she was a member of First Baptist Church in Jay, N.Y.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Donald H. Pulver of Cheshire; a sister, Marian R. Moore of East Longmeadow; a brother, John F. Roberts of Ellington, Conn.; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Another son, John A. Pulver, predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Calling hours for Madelyn F. Pulver Wessman who died Feb. 4, 2004, will be held Sunday, Feb. 8, from 11:30 to 12:30, followed by funeral services at 1 at the ZAUMETZER-SPRAGUE FUNERAL HOME, Au Sable Forks, N.Y. A reception will follow the funeral service in the Fellowship Hall of Jay Baptist Church.
Burial will be at a later date in Norton Cemetery, Keene. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 64421, St. Paul, MN 55164-0421.
She also leaves a sister-in-law, Theresa Roberts of Ellington, Conn., and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Pulver Heath of Egremont.
