Marilyn Margaret Caccamo, 64, of 42 Harryel St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Pittsfield on June 25, 1939, daughter of Charles E. Flynn Sr. and Margaret Kenney Flynn, she was a 1957 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Before her marriage, she was employed by the former First Agricultural Bank as a bookkeeper; after her children were grown, she worked as a dietary aide at the former Dalton Nursing Home, now Craneville Place.
She enjoyed cooking.
She and her husband, Alfred V. Caccamo, were married Nov. 27, 1965, at St. Joseph's Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Donna M. Richardson of Adams, and Christine M. Caccamo and Diane M. Caccamo, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Doris E. Rocca of Pittsfield, and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Marilyn M. Flynn Caccamo, who died Jan. 31, 2004, will be Thursday at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in her memory be made to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. Caccamo, a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and mother-in-law, will be sadly missed by all who loved her. She is also survived by her four adored grandchildren, Stephen M. Dowsett, Cortnie C. Wager, and Megan T. and Jacob T. Richardson; her son-in-law, Joseph P. Richardson, and by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles E. "Chuck" Flynn Jr. in 1979 and Richard F. "Rit" Flynn in 1989.
