Christine E. Harrison, 44, of 38 Cleveland St. died Wednesday evening at the home of her sister, Katherine Cowan of Dalton.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 29, 1959, daughter of Robert E. Harrison Sr. and Maureen McCarty Harrison of Pittsfield, she was a 1977 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She had been employed as a central office technician at Verizon in Albany, N.Y., until last fall. Previously, she had worked in the business office at Verizon in Pittsfield and was a telephone operator for the former Nynex. She had a total of 15 years of service.
Ms. Harrison was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
She enjoyed maintaining her yard.
Besides her parents and sister, she leaves a son, Matthew Shaun Harrison, a student at the University of Rhode Island; two brothers, Robert E. Harrison Jr. of Naples, Fla., and Shaun P. Harrison of Pittsfield; and two other sisters, Michelle Miner and Mary Ellen Genzabella, both of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be Saturday at 11 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will be at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
Christine E. Harrison, age 44, died Jan. 21, 2004, surrounded by her family and friends.
She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Richard Genzabella, and her sister-in-law, Linda Harrison, her aunt and uncle, Joseph and Mary Jane Joseph of Bennington, Vt., her nieces and nephews, Melissa M. and Matthew M. Miner, Andrew and Jennifer Harrison, Richard Genzabella Jr., Amy and Michael Genzabella, Samantha Harrison, and Noah, Sarah, and Emily Cowan, several cousins and her beloved cat, Baby.
In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to a charity of the donor's choice in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME.
