Ellen C. Graham

Ellen C. Graham, 44, of Golden Hill Road, Lenox Dale, died yesterday at home.

Born in Needham on Feb. 5, 1959, daughter of Leo Keefe and the late Eleanor Mitchell Keefe, she was a 1977 graduate of Needham High School and a 1981 graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, where she received a bachelor's degree in business administration. She also earned an associate degree in computer science.

Mrs. Graham had been employed several years ago in managerial positions by Gap department stores in the Boston area.

She and her husband, Thomas R. Graham, whom she married Sept. 8, 1984, made their home in Norwood following their marriage and had resided in Lenox Dale since 1989.

She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lenox Dale and a member of its Parish Council, and a member of the Lenox Parks and Recreation Commission.

An advocate for special-needs students, she organized the annual walk-a-thon sponsored by the Parents' Advisory Council for special-needs students in the Lenox Public Schools.

Mrs. Graham was an accomplished pianist and was ranked number two in women's 4-0 tennis doubles in New England in 2000.

Besides her husband and father, of Middletown, R.I., she leaves a son, Scott Graham, at home; three daughters, Virginia, Sheilah and Lydia Graham, all at home; six brothers, Jerry Keefe of Newport, R.I., Rick Keefe of Westwood, Gregg Keefe of the state of Florida, Jim Keefe of Norwood, Danny Keefe of Boston and Chris Keefe of Oxford; a sister, Lisa Trembley of Newport, and her stepmother, Bridgette Keefe of Middletown.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Ellen C. Graham will be Wednesday at 9 from ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lenox Dale celebrated by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Jan. 20, from 5 to 9 at the funeral home. Those wishing to made donations in Ellen's memory may do so to the Special Olympics in care of the funeral home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.

Mrs. Graham will always be remembered by her family as a caring and loving mother and as a loving and devoted wife.
