Theresa E. McCluskey

Theresa E. McCluskey, 89, formerly of Wahconah Heights, died Friday evening at Springside of Pittsfield Health Care Facility, where she had resided for 1 1/2 years.

Born in Housatonic on March 29, 1914, daughter of Stanley Rustic and Mary Rockniak Rustic Ferdyn, she was a resident of Pittsfield most of her life and attended local schools.

Mrs. McCluskey was employed by the Pittsfield Public Schools in the cafeteria of the former North Junior High School, retiring in 1975 after 15 years of service. She also worked in the woolen mills.

She was a communicant of St. Charles' Church.

Her husband, Leo McCluskey, whom she married in 1931, died Dec. 5, 1971.

She leaves a son, Robert E. McCluskey of Lanesboro; two brothers, Harry Rustic and Anthony Ferdyn, both of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A son, Leon W. McCluskey, died in 1992.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Theresa E. McCluskey died in Pittsfield on Friday, Dec. 26, 2003. The funeral will be Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 9:15 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Dec. 29, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Mrs. McCluskey was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley Rustic and Frank Ferdyn, and by two sisters, Virginia Mlynarczyk and Alice Aldam.

If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Charles' Church in care of the funeral home.
