Debra Windon Luckey

Debra Windon Luckey, 47, of 38 Euclid Ave. died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Saginaw, Mich., on June 27, 1956, daughter of Louis and Julia Wilder Steward of Aliceville, Ala., she attended schools there. She also attended the University of Alabama nursing program and graduated in 1976 from the Pittsfield High School nursing program.
She had resided in Pittsfield for 28 years.
Mrs. Luckey had been employed by the state Department of Mental Retardation as a licensed practical nurse for 10 years until becoming ill in April.
She was a member of Price Memorial AME Zion Church.
She did volunteer work in the community, enjoyed going to the movies and was a talented baker and cake maker.
She and her husband, Willie J. Luckey, were married Aug. 23, 1980.
Besides her husband and parents, she leaves three sons, Desmond Windon, Brandon Windon and Cedric Luckey, all of Pittsfield, and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Debra Brunnetta Windon Luckey, who died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, will be Friday, Dec. 26, at 1 at Price Memorial AME Zion Church by the Rev. Surgest P. Aker III, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Shed Hill Cemetery, Aliceville, Ala. Calling hours will be Friday, beginning at 11 at the church. She leaves her two grandchildren, Janeubia Devine Star Barry and James Thomas Luckey, as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins, a brother- and sisters-in-law, and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an educational fund to be established for her son Cedric.
