George E. Kingsley

George E. Kingsley, 72, of 730 East Road died yesterday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on May 16, 1931, son of George H. and Elizabeth Allen Kingsley, he was a 1949 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Following high school, he served in the Navy for four years.
He had been employed as a truck driver and supervisor for Kraft Foods for 40 years, retiring in 1994.
Mr. Kingsley was a member of Richmond Congregational Church and a 35-year member of the Richmond Volunteer Fire Department.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed cutting wood and making his own lumber and horse drawing.
He and his wife, the former Phyllis Whitcomb, were married April 5, 1952.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, William G. Kingsley of Pittsfield and James R. Kingsley of Richmond; four daughters, Diane B. Musbach of Perkinsville, Vt., Nancy A. Kingsley of South Deerfield, Jean R. Golin of Cheshire and Elizabeth R. Kingsley of Richmond; three sisters, Bernice Keeler of Pittsfield, Betty Kingsley of Bennington, Vt., and Alma May of Los Angeles; a brother, Richard Kingsley of Manchester, Conn.; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for George E. Kingsley will be conducted Friday at 2 at Richmond Congregational Church by the Rev. Irene Jones, pastor. Following cremation, burial will be at a later date in Center Cemetery in Richmond.
Calling hours will be today, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. A brother, Harold Kingsley predeceased him.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to either the American Diabetes Association, the Richmond Volunteer Fire Department or Richmond Congregational Church Fund, each in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
