Ruth Case, 86, of 57 Donna Ave. died Sunday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on May 26, 1917, daughter of William and Harriet Sanford Turner, she was a graduate of the former Dalton High School.
Mrs. Case was a homemaker. She had at one time worked part time at the former Drapery World of Pittsfield.
She was a member of South Congregational Church and had sung in its choir.
She enjoyed interior decorating and needlepoint.
Her husband, Eugene D. Case, whom she married Sept. 24, 1938, died Jan. 28, 1997.
She leaves two sons, David W. Case of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Gary A. Case of Pittsfield; a daughter, Sandy Allen of Boulder, Colo.; two granddaughters, and a great-granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Ruth Turner Case, who died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 10 at DERY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Joel F. Huntington, pastor of South Congregational Church.
Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Case may be made to the Eugene D. Case Scholarship Fund through Rotary International.
Mrs. Case leaves two granddaughters, Heather Allen and Kimberly Kuhlwein, and a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Kuhlwein.
