Craig M. LeDuc, 20, of 204 Harryel St. died Saturday morning as a result of an automobile accident on Holmes Road.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 30, 1983, son of John C. and Susan Burke LeDuc of Pittsfield, he was a 2001 high honors graduate of Pittsfield High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society.
He was a junior at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., majoring in economics, and was on the dean's list.
While in high school, he was a catcher and captain of the baseball team, and played basketball during his sophomore year. He also was a catcher for the 2002 District 1 champion Tyler Aces American Legion baseball team and had been an all-star player for South Little League.
He also played Babe Ruth baseball, YMCA soccer, CYC basketball and DaltonCRA football.
Mr. LeDuc was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
He was a fan of all sports, especially the Red Sox.
Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Jeffrey LeDuc of Costa Mesa, Calif., and his maternal grandmother, Rita Burke of Salem.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Craig M. LeDuc, age 20, died Dec. 13, 2003. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. All those whose lives he touched will sorely miss him. He will always be remembered for his constant smile and positive attitude.
Calling hours will be tomorrow, Dec. 16, from 4 to 8 at Sacred Heart Church, not at the funeral home. The funeral will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. Lee Smith, chaplain of Berkshire Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Craig LeDuc Pittsfield High School Athletic Scholarship Fund in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
