Carole B. Wenner, 72, of 112 Doreen St. died Wednesday at home.
Born in Upper Darby, Pa., on Oct. 1, 1931, daughter of Claude H. and Laura D. Boehm Brunner, she was a 1953 graduate of West Chester (Pa.) State University with a degree in music education.
She had been employed as a elementary music teacher and voice instructor for many years for schools in Pennsylvania and New York.
She moved to Pittsfield in 1997.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Dalton and the Eastern Star.
She and her husband, Gene C. Wenner, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 15.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Laurel W. Carsell of Dalton; a son, Robert L. Wenner of Nashville, Tenn., and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Memorial Service will be held Sunday at 2:30 at the First Congregational Church of Dalton with the Rev. Robert Kyte, pastor, officiating. Following cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 2 to 4 at the BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Among survivors are her son-in-law, Dr. J. Patrick Carsell, daughter-in-law, Susan Farkas-Wenner, a granddaughter, Emilie Carsell, and two grandsons, Blake Carsell and Matthew Wenner.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the First Congregational Church Memorial Fund or HospiceCare in the Berkshires, care of the funeral home, 525 Main St, Dalton.
