Wilfred "Charlie" Lussier

Wilfred "Charlie" Lussier, 77, formerly of 10 Union St., died Tuesday at Timberlyn Heights Nursing Care Center in Great Barrington, where he had resided since 2000.
Born Aug. 14, 1926, in Pittsfield, son of Wilfred and Marion Face Lussier, he attended schools in Pittsfield and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mr. Lussier was a World War II Navy veteran serving as a seaman 1st class from Feb. 22, 1944, until being honorably discharged on June 10, 1946.
He was employed by GE for 30 years, retiring as a quality control inspector in 1983.
Mr. Lussier was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His wife, the former Corrine E. Collins, died Jan. 22, 2003.
He leaves a son, Matthew C. Lussier of Simi Valley, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth Lussier of Dalton, and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Lussier Gerhart, on Dec. 27, 1994.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Wilfred "Charlie" Lussier, 77, who died Dec. 2, 2003, will be held Friday at 8:15 a.m. from DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, celebrated by the Rev. Kishe V. Max, parochial vicar.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at Dery Funeral Home will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Mr. Lussier is also lovingly survived by his adored grandchildren, Marissa and Justin Lussier and Amanda Gerhart.
