Grace F. Conry

Grace F. Conry, 90, formerly of 340 Williams St., died Sunday at Berkshire Place.

Born in Pittsfield on March 21, 1913, daughter of John and Harriet McGurn O'Laughlin, she graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1931.

A homemaker, Mrs. Conry was a member of the former St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Berkshire Museum and for the Red Cross, where she assisted in blood drives.

She was a member of Wahconah Country Club and the Glades Golf Club in Naples, Fla., where she had spent winters.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

Her husband, John J. Conry, whom she married Nov. 6, 1937, in St. Joseph's Church, died Dec. 30, 1997. He owned the Pittefield Electric Shop on North Street.

She leaves two sons, Dr. J. Peter Conry of Pittsfield and Dennis J. Conry of Falmouth; two daughters, Pamela Conry Kiernan of Wareham and Christine Conry Nattinger of San Francisco; a sister, Rita O'Laughlin Nagle of Marlboro; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Grace F. Conry, 90, who died Nov. 23, 2003, will be Saturday, Nov. 29, at 8:15 at DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 to 7. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to St. Joseph's High School in care of the funeral home. Mrs. Conry was the beloved mother-in-law of Pamela Conry, Sheryl Seyfert Conry, Edward Kiernan and Peyton Nattinger.

She also leaves her adored grandchildren, Michael Kiernan, Steven Kiernan, Jacqueline Conry, Meredith Conry, Vanessa Conry, Elizabeth Nattinger and Caroline Nattinger; several nieces and nephews, and her good friend Gloria Pixley of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by six brothers, Herbert O'Laughlin, William O'Laughlin, Edward O'Laughlin, John O'Laughlin, Bernard O'Laughlin and Robert O'Laughlin, and by two sisters, Mary O'Laughlin and Ann Quirk.
