Hazel L. Gaudette

Hazel L. Gaudette, 82, of 100 Wealthy Ave. died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center.
She had been a resident of 181 Ashuelot St. in Dalton until moving to her son's home two years ago.
Born in Pittsfield on May 8, 1921, daughter of Earl and Grace Kilbourn Cone, she attended Dalton schools.
Mrs. Gaudette was a homemaker.
She enjoyed socializing and was known as "Gumdrop" on CB radio. She played bingo regularly for many years and was a member of Flintstone Grange 353 of Dalton.
She enjoyed baking and arts and crafts.
She and her husband, John A. Gaudette, were married March 5, 1937. He died Dec. 24, 1982.
She leaves a son, John E. "Jack" Gaudette, with whom she resided, and two granddaughters.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Hazel L. Gaudette will be Monday at 2 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, Dalton, with the Rev. Robert R. Kyte, pastor of First Congregational Church of Dalton, officiating.
Burial will follow in Main Street Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 2 to 4. Affectionately known as "Gram," Mrs. Gaudette's greatest joy was to be surrounded by family and friends.
Among survivors are her daughter-in-law, Shirley Gaudette, with whom she lived; her granddaughters, Nancy Rose and Jeanne Gaudette; her grandson-in-law, Gary Rose; nephews Bill and Jim Cone and their families, and her cousin, Doris Silkey and the Silkey family, along with many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Elder Services or to Flintstone Grange 353 in care of the funeral home at 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
