Marilyn G. Connor, 55, of 183 Ashuelot St. died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 19, 1947, daughter of Herbert and Harriet Osbourne Sabin of Dalton, she was a 1965 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School.
A homemaker for 15 years, Mrs. Connor had been employed as a secretary at LaMountain Electricians and at the Navy recruiting office in Pittsfield.
She also worked as a cook and waitress at many local establishments for many years.
She was a member of the Dalton VFW Ladies' Auxiliary and enjoyed making crafts.
She and her husband, David J. Connor, were married March 17, 1980.
Besides her parents and husband, she leaves a daughter, Audrey Herrick of Dalton; a son, Joseph Bacon of Dalton; two sisters, Wendy Streeter of Dalton and Kim LaVigne of Pittsfield; a brother, Wayne Wick of Dalton, and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Marilyn Connor will be Wednesday at 11 at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Dalton with the Rev. Mary Schreiber officiating.
Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Marilyn was a wonderful, warm, understanding, caring, loving friend to everyone she knew. Always there for a shoulder to lean on or cry on. She never judged anyone; she simply loved everyone for whom they were. She always said, "Love Ya," at the end of a phone call or the end of the day, letting you know she was always there for you.
Her family and friends will always love her and always miss her. She will live in their hearts every day. Among survivors is her granddaughter, Alecia N. Herrick. A brother, Glenn Sabin, predeceased Mrs. Connor. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Dalton Ambulance Fund in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
