Bertha R. Perch

Bertha R. Perch, 80, of 111 Partridge Road died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on April 13, 1923, the daughter of Israel and Eva Bookless Bialor, she was a 1940 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a graduate of the former Berkshire Business College.
Mrs. Perch was employed by the former Eaton Paper Co. for 45 years, retiring in 1985 as a supervisor in the Prinscript department.
She also owned and operated Perch Processing Co., a wedding invitation and accessory business she ran from her home.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Turkey, Russia, Egypt, Israel and France, and gardening, collecting family memorabilia and taking cruises.
She and her husband, Burton Perch, a retired Massachusetts state trooper, were married May 1, 1954, in Springfield.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sisters, Lucille Kline and Madeline Bialor, both of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Bertha R. Bialor Perch will be Wednesday at 11 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with Rabbi Dennis Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to Berkshire County ARC in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Mrs. Perch will be remembered as selfless and generous. Her kindness, patience and willingness to help others made her a most special person, and she will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
She is also survived by her nephews, Richard B. Kline and Dennis and Bruce Dasho; a niece, Shari Makar, and a grandnephew, Thomas Makar. She was predeceased by two brothers, Milton and Bernard Bialor.
