Elizabeth H. Redmon, 92, died Tuesday morning at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center.
She had been a resident of the Kimball Farms Retirement Community since 1990.
Born in Louisville, Ky., on May 18, 1911, daughter of Benowie and Annie Louise Howe, she attended schools there. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Louisville in 1931 and a master's degree in social work from both Smith College in Northampton and Tulane University in New Orleans.
A social worker, she worked for several years in New York City at the Community Service Society of Washington Heights. She made her home in Bernardsville, N.J., from 1952 until moving to New York in 1973.
While in Lenox, she was a member of Trinity Church.
Her husband, Bryan S. Redmon, whom she married in 1943, died in 1981.
She leaves a son, John A. Redmon of Bedford, N.Y.; a daughter, Anne Nightingale of London, England; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The family of Elizabeth H. Redmon will celebrate her life with a service of remembrance at Trinity Church in Lenox with the Rev. Stephen Booth, rector, officiating. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family at Trinity Church in New York City.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to the Humane Society of the United States in care of the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240, which is in charge of arrangements.
