Lillian S. Rawling Taglieri, 78, of 195 Partridge Road died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Lee on Feb. 9, 1925, daughter of Thomas and Lillian Dansereau Rawling, she was educated in Pittsfield schools.
She was employed as a threader for 21 years at the former A. H. Rice Silk Mill, retiring in 1987. Before this, she had been a homemaker.
She had attended Mount Carmel Church.
Her husband, Nazzaro A. Taglieri, whom she married on Oct. 9, 1948, died on Feb. 16, 1997.
She leaves two sons, Stephen Taglieri and Thomas Taglieri, both of Pittsfield; two sisters, Shirley Lapier of Williamstown and Phyllis Joyner of Hernando, Fla.; two brothers, Edward Rawling of Fort Piers, Fla., and Richard Rawling of Egremont; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Lillian S. Taglieri, 78, who died Friday, will be held Monday at the DERY FUNERAL HOME at 11, celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., pastor of Mount Carmel Church. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Monday from 10 to 11.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01230. "Ma" went home Friday, but she'll always be at home in our hearts. She also enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and most of all, spending time with her family.
She will be lovingly missed by her five grandchildren, Stephen II, Benjamin, Lindsay, Justin and Nabil; her two great-grandchildren, Stephen Anthony and Sophia; her daughters-in-law, Chris and Kim; her granddaughters-in-law, Gabrielle and Heather, and her many dear friends and relatives.
